Beginning on December 1, Google has stated that it will be deleting dormant Google accounts worldwide. The contents of these accounts, including Gmail, Pictures, Drive documents, Contacts, and so on, will likewise be deleted by the firm. Google disclosed in May that old or inactive accounts are more vulnerable to hacking, and the company is revising its policy regarding inactive accounts to prevent that from happening.

According to a policy recently implemented by Google, "If a Google Account has not been used or signed in for at least two years, we may delete the Google Account,  Google can also delete all data like documents, pdf files, images, etc. the of the associated Google Account.

Notably, accounts for businesses or educational institutions will not be affected by this. Furthermore, Google will notify the users several times before deleting their accounts.
